Man, that's amazing!
It looks so round and comfy with that cute, snuggly face!
I can't believe you really designed that on your own.
I never heard of 'wet folding', but all of your origami pieces that where made that way seem very impressive and I will
definitely look that up!
Thanks for posting this :)

You do not have the diagram anymore on etsy :(  I would really like to try to fold the model. I like a lot the shape of this bird.
Can you help me with the diagram please?

Ohh man, this is adorable! I really like the female's round shape.
I've never heard of wet folding before, but I'll have to look into it. This looks great!

Pardon the language but this Jay seems to be saying "Fuck you, I knew winter was coming all along." Hence his body size.

There's your story. Thats why it looks like it does.

I like the design though!

The body shape makes me wonder how you'd handle a quail, especially with the little feather on the forehead. I like the folding technique that gets you soft edges rather than crisp, as it fits the fatness of a winter bird all puffed up. In general, though, I picture blue jays as a more slender, pointy bird. (Not to mention mean, but that's a difficult feature to fold!)

It seems you understand everything in my mind :).
I also thought about a quail and did it, but no so successful, maybe I'll try it again. Currently I prefer doing the Northern cardinal, which was my first idea. This blue jay was the result when the way colors changed not really like a cardinal.
Looking back to the model after reading your comment, I still need to improve it indeed. :)

And reading your comments is always a pleasure, thank you very much!
